This post will be a review on Etude House’s liquid eyeliners “Oh m’Eye Liner” in black and brown. Etude House is a Korean roadshop. The eyeliner series consists of three colours including grey which is not included in this review. The eyeliner costs around $38.
Packaging
The containers of the liquid eyeliners are cute with a vase-like body and has a long applicator making it easier to hold and apply.
1. Oh m’Eye Liner – No. 1 Black
Application
The application is smooth with the brush applicator allowing to make winged shapes.
Pigmentation
The product is very pigmented. However, I needed to apply several times doubling on top with layers as some portion shirked after drying. The color is gives a sharp look to the eyes.
Waterproof
The product is not waterproof and can be removed easily after splashing with water. If your eyelids are too oily, then its likely to be removed when touching your eyes.
Smudge Test
The product is not smudge proof and can be removed when pressed with force or scratching eyelids.
Overall Rating
I would rate Oh m’Eye Line – No.1 Black 3 stars out of 5. The application is smooth and I do not mind reapplying. It is not waterproof or smudge proof, however the color is very pigmented.
Will I purchase it again?
Yes. Compared to the price, it is a good product. Also, I do not mind it being not waterproof as I do not like using oil-based makeup remover for eyes. Also, I do not tend to touch my eyes that often so the eyeliner stays all day long.
2. Oh m’Eye Liner – No. 3 Brown
Application
The application is similar to both colors as they have a thin brush applicator making it easy to line the eyes.
Pigmentation
The product is dark brown and pigmented. It gives a more smoother look to the eyes than black sharp looking eyes. However, the colors looks similar from far, but you can see the difference when face to face.
Waterproof
Both of the product is not waterproof. It comes off easily when splashed with water.
Smudge Test
Both of the products are not smudge proof. It can be smudged when using force to wipe or itching the eye.
Overall Rating
I would rate Oh m’Eye Line – No.3 Brown 3 stars out of 5. Although the product is not waterproof or smudge proof, the application is smooth and the color is dark but not sharp.
Will I purchase it again?
Yes, definitely. I love the brown color more than black for daily use. It is a good product for the price paid. Also, the eyeliner stays all day long for me as I do not touch my eyes so much.
