Hi everyone, this post will be a review about the popular Korean lip product: Rire Lip Manicure. I bought these products online and it costs around HKD$60. These products claim to last long and stay vivid for 12 hours without smudging or feeling sticky and consist of waterproof formula. There are 10 colors to choose from, but I only got three of this colors which I liked.
Packaging
All the lip products come in a small nailpolish-like bottle with a applicator. Its is very small in size and easy to carry around in your bag.
1. Rire Lip Manicure – Pink Brown
Pigmentation
The product is very pigmented so small amount is sufficient for the full lips.
Texture
The texture is smooth after it dries. The texture is like that of a liquid lipstick however the pink brown one forms lip cracks after it dries and putting too much production of putting another layer does not go well, the new layer do not bond well with the previous layer after its dry. The prink brown one feels like a thick paint on the lips and has a different formula than the darker versions of the product.
Application
The application is smooth but it is very difficult to get accurate lip line using the applicator. I would suggest using a brush for application to get that perfect lip line.
Lasting Power
The lip product does last long if you do not eat any oily food. If not touched by oil, it can last whole day without fading away but the product in inner part of the links shrink showing little bit of the inner bare lips.
Waterproof
The lip product is waterproof and does not smudge or transfer when splashed with water or when you drink water.
Kiss Test
The lip product is kiss proof and only a very small amount of product transfer to the hand especially if you have applied heavy layers of product.
Overall Rating
I will rate this Rire Lip Manicure – Pink Brown 2/5 stars because it is waterproof, lasts long and looks cute but it dries the lips, it is difficult to apply precisely and difficult to retouch.
Will I purchase it again?
No, I really love the color but I would not wear this product on a daily basis as it’s too drying and need time to carefully apply early in the morning.
2. Rire Lip Manicure – Muse Red
Pigmentation
The product is also very pigmented so small amount is sufficient for the full lips. The colour is bright red which I love.
Texture
The texture is smooth after it dries. Unlike the Pink Brown one, this one does not forms lip cracks and is comparatively less drying. The lips feel light and soft just like putting any matt lipstick.
Application
The application is smoother than Pink Brown one but hard to get accurate lip line using the applicator.
Lasting Power
All three products last long including this one if you do not eat oily food. It performs better than the pink brown one. I once wore this to a party and my lips were the same when I got back home.
Waterproof
Just like Pink Brown, it is waterproof and does not smudge or transfer when splashed with water or when you drink water.
Kiss Test
The lip product is also kiss proof and only a very small amount of product transfer to the hand.
Overall Rating
I will rate this Rire Lip Manicure – Muse Red 4/5 stars because it is waterproof, lasts long and looks beautiful but it is difficult to apply precisely. I did not have any problem with retouching.
Will I purchase it again?
Yes, I love the red color. Although I would not wear it on a daily basis, I would like to keep it in my red lipsticks collection and wear it for special events.
3. Rire Lip Manicure – Wine Burgundy
Pigmentation
The product like the other two is very pigmented so small amount is sufficient for the full lips.
Texture
The texture is smooth after it dries and similar to Muse Red and the formula is better than Pink Brown one, and comparatively less drying. The lips feel light and soft.
Application
The application is similar to Muse Red, and smoother than Pink Brown one but hard to get accurate lip line using the applicator.
Lasting Power
All three products last long including this one if you do not eat oily food. It performs similar to Muse Red and better than the pink brown one.
Waterproof
Just like the other two, it is waterproof and does not smudge or transfer when splashed with water or when you drink water.
Kiss Test
Just like the other two, this lip product is also kiss proof and only a very small amount of product transfer to the hand.
Overall Rating
I will rate this Rire Lip Manicure – Wine Burgundy 4/5 stars because it is waterproof, lasts long and feels smooth but it is difficult to apply precisely and a bit drying if worn for a long time. I did not have any problem with retouching this product.
Will I purchase it again?
No, the color is pretty but it is a bit drying when worn for a long time and it is not a color I would usually wear.
